Valle Volcanico Station

The Volcanic Valley Station is located in La Chorera, a coastal community situated in the Municipality of San Quintín, Baja California. This area is surrounded by eight inactive volcanoes. The station’s floor plan is radial, with its center projecting eight imaginary lines oriented toward each of the volcanoes: Media Luna Volcano, Monte Riveroll, Pichacho Vizcaíno, Mount Kenton, Ash Hill, Mount Mazo, Southwest Hill, and San Martín Island.

The design and construction of the structure was carried out by the Parma Arquitectura studio.

The gabions were constructed using stone sourced from the Punta Mazo volcanoes and are distinguished by the unique color of each volcano, which allowed each module to be built with a different type of stone.
