Ramsar Wetlands

Background. The Convention on Wetlands, known as the Ramsar Convention, is an intergovernmental environmental treaty established in 1971 by UNESCO. One of the requirements of this convention is the creation of signage and informational boards to raise awareness about the importance of wetland care and conservation.

Solution. Proesteros was the organization that managed the certification of these wetlands, and together with their technical team, we designed a comprehensive signage program for seven certified wetland areas in Baja California. The project included design, illustrations, and materials that harmonize with the environment, requiring low maintenance and ensuring durability.
